Movember is big in Melbourne. 

Half of Melbourne is growing a moustache, the rest of us are averting our eyes, or just rolling them. Arghh! Put that thing away!

'Schoolies Week' is the title given to the short annual migration of Victorian school-leavers to sunny Queensland. It's a bit like the 'Grey Nomad' annual migration but with less CB radio action and more drug abuse. Both migratory groups suffer from sunburn, gold sandles, and significant memory loss.
